Using blogging for a platform, Instablogs Networks, an Internet based news organisation today launched a public version of Instablogs Community here that hopes to converge upon bloggers and readers. The new e-venture, says Ankit Maheshwari, CEO, Instablogs Networks, will provide a country wide interface to the growing number of individual bloggers to effectively use the new medium. Instablogs community, having a purpose of bringing bloggers and readers closer is a part of the New Media and Web 2.0. The community is being keenly watched in the bloggosphere as for the first time a blog network has taken the initiative to advance from a network of loosely tied blogs to a social network of blogs. It already is being looked upon as the next generation blog network, claims Maheshwari. The new version encourages better communication between writers and readers and symbolises the crux of ‘Citizen Journalism’. The idea aims to bridge the gap between the media and the public, keeping the traditional goal of objectivity intact at the same time, he adds. Successful blogging is all about connecting with an audience and nurturing that relationship. Using RSS feed search engines such as technorati.com and blogpulse.com one can monitor important developments in the fields of ones interests. The Delhi based Instablogs Network was launched just about a year ago and has its pulse on over 100 blogs that are being updated on a regular basis. “We serve about one million visitors per month and our advertising space is fully booked till December,” he said. To increase the number of posts on the blogs and as a cost cutting measure, the network recently opened a branch here. In a short spanof time the network has emerged as Asia ‘s biggest and after Weblogsinc, 9rules and B5media, as the world’s fourth largest blog network.
