“15th edition of TCS World 10K bengaluru” is scheduled on May 21

Bengaluru: Procam International, pioneers of globally-renowned distance-running events in India, have announced the “ 15th edition of the TCS World 10K Bengaluru (TCSW 10K),” in a glittering launch  event on Tuesday night. Event will be flagged off at the Sree Kanteerava stadium on May 21st. Some of the best runners, both national and international, will hit the roads  during the event. The milestone 15th edition of the World’s Premier 10K, highlights the growing popularity of distance-running events and the undeniable resurgence of participative sport in India.

State Minister for Higher Education Ashwath Narayana said at the grand launch of the event ,”we look forward to the event every year as it has participants from around the world. It’s been a rocking event and I am sure it will continue that way. It should grow much larger” he said.

The world Athletics Gold Label Race, organized  by Procam International , will see the elite athletes and amateurs in action in the TCS World 10K , the fitness enthusiasts in the Majja Run (5.1km), Senior Citizens Run and Champions with Disability (4.2km).

Registrations for the $210,000 prize money event will commence on March 1and end on April 28th of as soon as running places are filled.

Procam International Joint Managing Director Vivek Singh said, “When we started this race is 2008 we didn’t know what to expect but me and my brother Anil Singh wer sure that it had to be in bengaluru. Fifteen years on TCS World 10K  run in the world. Over the years, it has hosted more than 300,000 participants,” he added.
