Ambala : As many as 16 fake marriage registration certificates have been issued with effect from January till June this year without the presence of bride, bride-groom, their parents or family members, ‘Saat Phere’ and any other marriage celebration under a conspiracy by a temporary clerk of Nagrik Suvidha Kendra (CFC) Sunil Kumar a resident of Ram Nagar Ambala City, who had prepared a fake login ID Password of the Joint Commissioner MC also holding the charge of Registrar Marriages Puneet Jagda, who during investigation detected that with effect from 2nd April to 16th June this year 192 marriage registration certificates were issued to couples, which included 16 fake marriage registration certificates and most of these couples were either on visit to India for the marriage and most of them have already left abroad.
Information reveals that temporary clerk Sunil Kumar working on this seat since 2017-18, suspected involved in embezzlement preparing fake marriage registration certificates on the basis of fake documents and question arises why action was not taken as regard the irregularities going on in this regard by any senior officer in the past many years. Puneet Jagda said that temporary clerk Sunil Kumar has already been suspended and a complaint has been lodged with SP Ambala for taking action against him, who has been reported absconding at present.
Jagda who took charge about three months ago said that all 16 fake marriage registration certificates prepared on the basis of fake ID password have been cancelled and a thorough checking of record of all marriage registration certifictaes prepared by the accused in past years has been ordered as there is also a possibility of involvement of big fishes in this scam. Information also reveals that earlier a complaint as regard issue of green card for Germany in the marriage of a couple Paramjit and Balvinder Kumar was registered at Baldev Nagar police station on 14th June 2023 when a divorce between both took place and Paramjit left the country on the basis of a passport on fake name, the complaint is yet unsolved.
