As many as 22 police personnel including two senior police officers were defeated while fighting with Carona virus in Haryana state, According to information, 2970 police personnel were declared Carona positive during first wave of epidemic outbreak in the state during the year 2020 and 1607 police personnel were declared Carona positive this year during the second wave of disease. Among those defeated or lost life due to disease include senior officers of the rank SP, DSP and SHO in the state played important role to save lives of suffering patients, stopped black marketing of life saving drugs, non-erratic supply of oxygen in hospitals and above all maintained law and order all over in the state. Information reveals, Ashok Dahiya and Varinder Singh both holding the rank of DSP were defeated while fighting against dreaded disease and their sacrifices cannot be forgotten ever.
When talked to Haryana Home & Health Minister Anil Vij and DGP in the state Manoj Yadav, both appreciated the role of police personnel during present crisis in the state at the risk of their own life. According to heavy weight political leaders as well as public police generally known for corruption and torture to others offered remarkable services during lock down period and epidemic outbreak in Haryana state, which now has brought them in the category of Front Warriors. According to state health department, 48373 police personnel in the state have been vaccinated so far, which include 30130 police personnel already taken second dose of vaccination. DGP Haryana said that KOVID Csre Centres has been opened inside Police Lines in the districts to provide relief to police staff suffering from Carona virus. Home Minister Anil Vij said, police in the state playing major role to stop black marketing of life saving drugs, supply of oxygen to needy patients and maintain law and order and offering services at the cost of their own life.
According to information, among those police personnel declared Carona positive during current year include maximum number of 206 policemen in Jind district, 197 in Rohtak district, 153 in Hisar district, 132 in Panipat district, 115 in Yamunanagar district, 104 in Sirsa district, 85 in Kurukshetra district, 65 in Kaithal district, 43 in Karnal district, 40 in Fatehabad district, , 27 in Charkhi Dadri district and and 15 in Bhiwani district. Similarly during year 2021 two police personnel succumbed to Carona virus in Bhiwani district and one each lost life in Yamunanagar, Kaithal, Panipat, and Jind districts.
