258 women poets, writers attend 23rd International Poetess Conference at Amritsar

Amritsar:   As many as 258 women poets, writers and artists from all over world participated on the 2nd day of 3 days 23rd International Poetess Conference Punjab 2023 at Khalsa College for Women here on Tuesday. Padamshri Dr. Surjeet Patar was chief guest during the occasion.

Giving information, convener of conference and known face of Punjabi literary world and national awardee Dr. Simrat Sumaira said that the women poets, writers and artists from all over India and from twelve foreign countries including two Padmashri women writers, painters, dancers and musicians are participating in the conference.

Among others Padma Shri Usha Tomar, Dr. Larry Azad, Dr. Roshan, Sukhi Bath,  Gurinder Pal Singh Joson, Dr. Jaswinder Kaur Sohal, Shalini Dutta, Dr. Surinder Kaur, Dalveer Kaur, Dr. Varinder Kaur, Dr. Pankaj Mahajan, Dr. Satinder Kahlon, Dr. Satinder Kaur Buttar, Vijayta Bhardwaj, Navjot Chabba, Harsimrat participated in the conference .

During the occasion , souvenirs and books of authors including Punjab Women’s Sabha Chairperson Bibi Kushal Bhaura’s book “Dastan-e-Chaman” and Harkirat Kaur Chahal and Aman Deep Aman books were also released.

Meanwhile the research paper presentation session was chaired by  Dr. TM Geethanjali,  Prof Satinder Pannu ,. It was co-chaired by Prof. Sima Baruah, Dr. Satinder Kaur Kahlon. Prof Ravinder Kaur, Dr. Mamta and Vinay Sharma

The multilingual kavyadhara was chaired by Prof. Kamal Kumari Dash and co-chaired by Jyoti Badami, Dr. Sunder Bains. An open session was chaired by – Dr Shailaja Kulkarni and Dr. Satinder Kaur Kahlon. It was co-chaired by Prof. Sima Baruah & Surinder Kochar . In the end a culture program was organized.

The research session was chaired by Dr. TM Gitanjali, Prof. Satinder Pannu. It was co-chaired by Prof. Sima Bruha, Dr. Satinder Kaur Kahlon, Prof. Ravinder Kaur, Dr. Mamata and Vinay Sharma.

Multilingual Kavidhara was presided over by Prof. Kamal Kumari Dash and Co-President Jyoti Badami, Dr. Sundar Bains.

The open session was presided over by Dr. Shelja Kulkarni and Dr. Satinder Kaur Kahlon. It is co-chaired by Prof. Sima Bruha and Surinder Kochhar did it.

In the end, a cultural program was organized.
