270 gangsters arrested busting nearly 100 gangs solved 639 cases in Ambala division

While talking to media persons Shrikant Jaghav Assistant Director General Police Ambala division comprising of three districts: Ambala, Yamunanagar and Kurukshetra said that police was able to bust 100 gangs in which 270 gangsters were arrested solving 639 cases during year 2022 in which goods of value worth Rs 4.33 crore were recovered by the police in the division. Jaghav said that Yamunanagar district leads where 160 gangsters were arrested and pushed behind the bars, followed by Kurukshetra district where 67 gangsters and Ambala district where 43 gangsters were arrested. According to police records, 667 accused were declared offenders by the courts and 487 bale jumpers were also rounded by the police in Ambala division during the year. Jaghav also holding the charge of Chief of Haryana Narcotics Control Bureau told that district wise record has been identified as  15 gangs were busted  with the arrests of 43 gangsters in which 102 cases were solved  by the police with recovery of goods of value worth Rs 59.39 lakh in Ambala district. He said, Kurukshetra district police busted 26 gangs in which 67 gangsters were arrested  solving 339 cases with the recovery of goods of value worth Rs 2.07 crore.  ADGP Ambala division said, in case of Yamunanagar district, police busted 59 gangs in which 160 gangsters were arrested  and 198 cases were traced out in which goods of value worth Rs 1.67 crore were recovered during year 2022. Jaghav told that during the year 2022 as many as 667 criminals declared offender in the courts and 486 bale jumpers released on the bale but failed to return back were also arrested in the division, which include 349 declared offenders and 188 bale jumpers in Ambala district, 188 declared offenders and 78 bale jumpers in Kurukshetra district and 130 declared offenders and 221 bale jumpers arrested in Yamunanagar district.
