Sonepat: Team of Haryana State Narcotic Control Bureau (HSNCB) from Rohtak ,on a clue seized 38,400 bottles containing 100 ml. intoxicated restricted cough syrup, generally consumed by the drug addicts, being taken to Tripura in a consignment of nearly 200 bags booked as ‘Paan Masala’ kept under the luggage in a canter. Rajpal Singh ACP crime department said that they got secret information about the canter having Rajasthan registration number parked on Kundli-Manesar (KMP). Police team stopped the vehicle when it was about to start at a flyover and during checking found 384 cases packed in 200 bags containing intoxicated restricted syrup in the consignment booked as ‘Paan Masala’.
ACP said that police arrested two persons on Thursday identified as Sudhir a resident of Chuliana village in Jhajjar district and Jitender a resident of village Gochhi both were presently residing in Janta Colony Rohtak. During preliminary investigation the arrested accused disclosed that a network supplying intoxicated syrup and drugs in North-East states is very active.
