39 arrested allegedly preparing nude, vulgar videos for on-line blackmailing

New Delhi: Under ‘Operation Virus’ a gang of 39 persons including 10 minors were arrested jointly by Haryana and Rajasthan police allegedly preparing nude, vulgar videos followed by black mailing by threatening to release videos on social media for money. Operation Anti-virus was launched to fight increasing extortion cases  on internet and cyber cheating crimes by a large number of cheats operating their network at Ferozpur Jhirka in Nuh district. All arrested were belonging to a community.

Police recovered 34 mobile phones, 32 ATM cards prepared on the basis of fake documents, a pass book, a cheque book, a pistol, a ‘Desi Katta’ and a few cartridges from the members of the arrested gang.  Preliminary investigations revealed that the gang had several bank accounts on fake documents to get deposited cheated money which was being withdrawn through ATM cards. The minor gang members used to talk in female voices on Watts up, trying to win their confidence, develop sexual intimacy with female voices and undertake recording after getting their clothes  removed and keeping their mobile phone camera shut at their end.
