39 suspected died, several struggling for life due to spurious liquor in Haryana

 SONEPAT, PANIPAT (Satish Handa) Team of Chief Minister Flying Squad Haryana arrested seven persons including a teacher Vijay in raids at two residential houses at Kharkhoda in Sonepat district and Nainattar Pur in Panipat district while preparing spurious quality Desi liquor after the sensational incident of deaths of 39 persons and large of victims struggling for life in hospitals suspected taken spurious quality fake liquor. Police also recovered Rs 14.51 lakh currency notes and 70 bottles liquor at a place and 395 bottles liquor at another place, besides huge quantity of empty plastic bottles, caps, huge, labels and chemicals to prepare illicit liquor.

DSP Squad Ajit told that a youth Ankit was arrested by the police while preparing fake liquor in a room behind Tehsil office at Kharkhoda and recovered 395 bottles illicit liquor in Masaledar Santra brand written on the bottles ‘For Sale in Haryana’. Meanwhile, police also arrested a woman Sonia started selling illicit liquor after the death of her husband Rajesh about 18 months ago. She was selling Desi liquor at the price Rs 30-40 each less than the price sold at authorized liquor vends in the area. Police took into possession nearly 10 persons selling liquor in the area and registered 17 FIRs in raids during short period of few hours where seven persons were reported died after taking spurious liquor and few others admitted in the hospital.
