4 demanding ransom from VIPs for gangster Lawrence Bishnoi arrested

Crime Branch Haryana arrested four persons identified as Ritik originally hailing from Motihari district in Bihar, Sandeep also originally hailing from Bihar both presently residing at Sushant Lok Gurugram, Gulshan resident of Rajendra Park Gurugram and Bunty a resident of Kurukshetra in a raid and recovered from them 49 ATM cards, 62 sim cards, 23 mobile phones and a bank pass book.

During preliminary investigation arrested accused admitted threatening rich people for ransom on behalf of gangster Lawrence Bishnoi and depositing collected amount in fake bank accounts. They also admitted that the collected amount was being transferred to bank accounts in Dubai but the entire network was being operated from Pakistan and Dubai. Arrested four accused during police remand told that they are unaware of king pin in the gang but police was able to find large number of contact numbers from the mobile phones in Pakistan and Dubai seized from arrested accused and investigation revealed that transaction for amount worth Rs 24 lakh was made in a account during a month and the members running criminal activities used to get 10% commission.

Arrested accused admitted that they demanded Rs 5 lakh ransom from a property dealer at Sohna and threatening to shot him dead on Watts up as well as video call when a case was registered at Sohna police station on the complaint of victim and police arrested Gulshan and Ritik on 14th August 2022. During police custody in six days remand period both arrested accused disclosed the names of their another two companions Sandeep and Bunty both arrested by the police. All four were again produced in the court on 20th August and sent to Bhondsi jail Gurugram under judicial custody. Police officer investigating the case told that property dealers from whom ransom amount was demanded was asked to deposit the amount in a bank account in the name of a person living in Bihar and the gang members usually target rich people in business.
