According to state health department in Haryana state as many as 2185
samples for foods being sold in hotels, restaurant and sweets shops in
Haryana state collected by health department in the year 2019 sent to
government forensic laboratory at Madhuban in Karnal district and
according to report received recently by districts food & supply
department 411 samples were found adulterated, rejected and action in
this regard is being taken by the state government against
manufacturers as well as sellers. According to health department
doctors, such adulterated foods leaving adverse effect on children are
extremely harmful for their health causing stomach and skin disorders
According to the report, in most of food items chemicals were found
mixed in them and adulterated milk found mixed to manufacture sweets.
Among samples found not up to the mark and declared unfit for use by
the forensic laboratory district wise were identified as 45 samples
failed out of total number of 217 samples collected in Gurugram
district, 25 samples failed out of total number of 105 samples
collected in Rohtak district, 21 samples failed each in Hisar and
Sirsa districts out of total number of 79 and 83 samples respectively.
Similarly, out of total number of 102 samples collected in Kaithal
district17 samples were found adulterated, out of total number of 144
samples collected in Faridabad district 17 samples were rejected, out
of total number of 177 samples collected in Ambala district 15 samples
were found adulterated, out of 74 samples collected in Jhajjer
district 14 samples were found unfit for use, 11 out of 39 samples
collected in Palwal district were rejected.
11 out of 56 samples collected in Sonepat district were found
adulterated,11 samples out of 87 samples collected in Yamunanagar
districts were found adulterated, out of 78 samples collected in
Rewari district 9 samples were rejected, 9 out of 38 samples collected
in Bhiwani district rejected, 6 samples out of 60 collected in Jind
district rejected, 6 out of 25 samples collected in Mewat district
rejected, 6 out of 102 samples collected in Kurukshetra district
rejected, and 6 out of 13 samples collected in Charkhi Dadri district
were found unfit for use.
