48 mobile phones recovered in a month from prisoners at Ambala central jail

Ambala : A couple of days ago during search operation going on inside Ambala central jail by newly transferred Superintendent jail security staff recovered another 16 mobile phones from the prisoners lodged in this jail, most of the mobile phones were found hidden inside bath rooms and three mobile phone sets were recovered kept in an empty ‘Bournvita’ box. Information reveals, with the recovery of 16 mobile phones the total number of mobiles phones recovered from the prisoners in past one month reached 48 along with accessories including mobile phone chargers, cables, ear phones and sim cards now raising a question mark over the performance of previous security staff in this central jail in which hard core criminals, killers, gangsters and many VIPs as well as senior government officers either undergoing sentence or having cases under trial against them are lodged in jail.

A few days ago, the prisoners lodged in this jail had burnt down or damaged as many as 22 mobile phones themselves on getting information that new Superintendent jail is visiting personally for checking in jail barracks in which hard core criminals as well as members of gangster groups were lodged. Information reveals, there are several members of gangster groups including Lawrence Bishnoi, Kala Jathedi, Kala Rana running their criminal network from inside the jail with the help of mobile phones. During search campaign jail security staff recovered several mobile phones from bath rooms or kept inside their undergarments.
