GURUGRAM/ HISAR (SATISH HANDA): CM Flying Squad accompanied by Drug Control Officer and Crime Branch Sector 40 Gurugram busted a gang of three including a woman allegedly selling ‘Remdesiver’ injections for the treatment of Carona patients at the price of Rs 45000 each as against MRP slightly over Rs 5000 each. Police recovered five injections and two mobile phones from arrested accused identified as Chetan Kapoor originally hailing from village Derra in Hoshiarpur district in Punjab presently staying in a rented house at Delhi and working as Senior Security Assistant in a private hospital selling life saving medicines in black market along with another partner also mastermind in this illegal business Nitin Josh originally hailing from Kottyam in Kerala state working as Nursing Staff Supervisor in the same private hospital and his wife Leema also assisting both in this illegal business.
After the deal was finalized at Rs 45000 each with fake customer arranged by the police when Chetan Kapoor contacted some one on his mobile phone when after sometime a woman late identified as Leema arrived on a scooty along with five injections and raiding party arrested Chetan and Reema while handing over injections against payment. Police also arrested Nitin Josh on the information of Chetan and a case was registered against all by the police on the complaints of Drug Control Officer. Three arrested were produced in the court, which remanded both Chetan and Nitin to police remand for a day and Leema was released on bail. They admitted removing ‘Remedsivir’ injections from the hospital store issuing the same falsely in the name of patients under treatment in the private hospital where they were working involved in this cheating business since a long time.
In another case reported at Hisar, police arrested two persons Arun Khurana resident of Multani Chowk brother of Rajiv Khurana President of Wholesale Chemists Association and his son Parth Khurana while selling ‘Remdesiver’ injections in black market at the rate Rs 40000 each injection. Police along with Senior Drug Controller Raman Sheoran conducted surprise raid when both father and son were delivered three injections against payment to fake customers Mukesh and Rakesh. During preliminary investigation both admitted brought injections in their car from a chemist shop near Holy Help Hospital. Police seized injections and impounded the car in which Parth brought injections for delivery.
