5340 intoxicated tablets 480 capsules seized from youth

Ambala : After launch of strict action by Ambala police against drug smugglers and suppliers, now supply of intoxicated tablets , capsules and injections has witnessed drastic increase. Addressing media persons here Jashandeep Singh Randhawa SP Ambala told that Ambala police has registered as many as 65 cases under NDPS Act in four months since after 1st January 2023 in which arrested 105 persons from whom huge quantity of drugs were also recovered.

Randhawa told that police on a clue arrested a youth identified as Praveen Kumar a resident of Nirmal Vihar Ambala City near tobbaco manufacturing company late night and during search recovered 5340 intoxicated tablets and 480 intoxicated capsules kept in a bag during late night. A case was registered against the youth who was remanded to police custody when produced in the court on 8th May 2023 when police would fimd out from where Praveen took stocks of intoxicated drugs and to whom these were to be supplied.
Information reveals that according to media study most of the youths including females usually students staying in hostels and working women living in paying guest houses in group are in the habit of taking intoxicated tablets, capsules and injections and this trend is fast increasing at present.
