Amritsar, November 26 – Akali leader and former cabinet Minister  Sucha Singh Langah, who was excommunicated by Akal Takht the highest Sikh temporal  seat around five years back,  today was cleared for reinstatement in the Sikh Fold.

On October 5, 2017, after his video of immoral transgression went viral, Langah was excommunicated from the Sikh fold.

Akal Takht while clearing his way for reinstatement, today imposing Tankash (religious punishment) told him that he cannot become a member of any Gurdwara Committee or SGPC for the period of five years.

However, Jathedar Akal Takht Harpreet Singh has also slapped Tankah ( religious punishment) and asked him to perform Sewa selfless service in the community kitchen of the Golden Temple for twenty one days including cleaning of used utensils of pilgrims  and to listen religious hymens here.

Earlier today, when he appeared with folded hands before the Five Sikh head priests led by Jatehdar Akal Takht in full public view, Langah in a loud voice through the sound system admitted his sin he had committed with a woman which was deadly against the Sikh tenants. On listening to Langah, Jatehdar asked Langh to repeat five times before the Sikh Sangat about his sin he had committed in the past and Langah did so.
