75 years old shopkeeper sexually abused 12 years minor sentenced 10 years imprisonment, fine

Additional District Session Judge of Fast Track Court Ambala sentenced 10 years imprisonment and Rs 40000 fine to a general merchandize shop dealer Harbans Lal allegedly sexually abused a 12 years old minor girl a class seven students at a rural area near Mullana in Ambala district while she was returning home late evening after visiting teacher who took her inside the store behind the shop luring her to offer sweets. He threatened minor girl to kill her in case she told to anyone and the minor did not disclosed to anyone about the incident but after having repeated cases of attempt to sexually exploit her the girl disclosed the same writing on a piece of paper to her mother that uncle is doing shameful act with her body while she is on way to home.

A complaint was lodged with Women Police Station Naraingarh by the mother of victim girl, which registered a case forwarded to fast track court Ambala after medical examination of the girl twice at Civil Hospital on 25th July 2019. The court recorded statement of victim minor under section 164. The case was under trial in the court for about three years in which statement of 10 witnesses was recorded on behalf of minor girl whereas no one appeared in the court for witness on behalf of alleged accuse, even no one from accused family appeared in the court on hearings in the case or at the time of declaring punishment a couple of days ago under section506 IPC and Section 10 of Pocksy Act
