Haryana state government has served show cause notices to nearly 800 employees working in revenue department including 400 Tehsildar, Naib Tehsildar in the state allegedly found involved in embezzlements in property registration cases from 2018 to 2021 during investigation by Divisional Commissioners in the state. Information reveals, large number of registration of properties were held on the basis of fake documents, without obtaining ‘no objection certificate’ from concerned authorities violating Section 7A in many cases during period when state was facing epidemic outbreak and concerned officials finalized huge cases unethically. Additional Chief Secretary P.K. Das said, show cause notices has been served to nearly 800 employees in revenue department found responsible for corrupt practices and irregularities likely to face stern action.
During recent Vidhan Sabha session leader of opposition in Vidhan Sabha Bhupinder Singh Hooda had demanded thorough investigation of all registration of property cases after year 2010 when Congress was also ruling in the state when Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khatter directed all Divisional Commissioners in the state for immediate investigation of all property cases held during four years with effect from 2018 to 2021 in which nearly 800 employees including Tehsildar, Naib Tehsildar, Registration Cloerk and Patwari working in Tehsil offices in the state were found involved in embezzlements and irregularities. P.K. Das told that state government has decided to modify property registration system on line directly between seller and buyer to minimize corruption in government offices.
