Talking to media persons, Haryana Home & Health Minister Anil Vij said that police seized over 80000 illicit liquor bottles being supplied door-to-door illegally or through back doors during lock down period when all liquor shops were closed. He said, when excise department officers and police directed to take stern action against illegal supply of liquor at Ambala on the information that illicit liquor being supplied by liquor vends staff from back doors in Ambala district five to six liquor vends were found selling liquor illegally at much higher rates and their shops were sealed and stocks seized by the department.
Vij told that state health department is going to have thorough screening of residents in the state with the help of nearly 20000 employees to find out exact number of persons having corona virus symptoms in their body. Vij said, state is not having shortage of PPE kit and N-95 masks required for health and police staff on duty in areas declared sensitive in the state and Haryana state government do not want to repeat unfortunate incident in the state reported in Punjab where an police officer of ACP rank died due to corona virus. Vij disclosed, 1000 PPE kits, masks and gloves have already been sent in every district. He said, Haryana state government has invited all retired doctors of age up to 69 to join duty on a year’s contract basis.
According to Haryana state health department, with new 18 corona positive cases reported in the state in past 24, the total number of corona positive cases reaches 237 (including 132 ‘Zamaatis’) which include nine cases reported at Faridabad having six ‘Zamaatis’ with total number of cases so far reported 42, of them 20 patients cured and discharged from hospital. Similarly, four fresh corona positive cases each were reported at Gurugram (including a jail officer) with number of cases reaches 36 and Ambala (including three members of a family at Shahzadpur) and one corona positive case detected at Bhiwani.
According to state health department information, district wise number of corona positive cases has been identified 57 cases at Nuh, 42 cases at Faridabad, 36 cases at Gurugram, 34 cases at Palwal, 17 cases at Panchkula, 11 cases at Ambala, 7 cases at Sonepat, 6 cases at Karnal, 5 cases at Panipat, 4 cases at Sirsa, 3 cases each at Yamunanagar and Bhiwani, 2 cases each at Hisar, Kaithal, Jind and Kurukshetra, one case each at Rohtak, Fatehabad, Jhajjar and Charkhi Dadri.
Out of total number of 132 ‘Zamaatis’ identified corona positive so far in Haryana state include 42 cases at Nuh, 31 cases at Palwal, 23 cases at Faridabad, 15 cases at Gurugram, 6 cases at Panchkula, 5 cases at Ambaala, 3 cases at Yamunanagar, 2 cases at Bhiwani and one case each at Kaithal, Jind, Charkhi Dadri, Sonepat and Fatehabad of them 90 patients have been cured and discharged from hospitals.
