Harsimrat Kaur Badal Union Food Processing Industries Minister on Monday said that centre Government has allowed Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee and Delhi Shiromani Gurdwara Management Committee to procure rice and wheat at the public distribution system (PDS) rates for serving community kichen (langer) to the people who are suffering due to spread of coronavirus.

“I thank PM Narendra Modi-ji for acknowledging the huge contribution of gurdwaras in serving the humanity during these times of crisis and also for conceding to my request of allowing the SGPC and DSGMC to get wheat and rice for langar at the PDS rates,” she said in a tweet
