Telangana Mother rides 14,00 Km on scooty for son stranded in Andhra

Hyderabad
The brave mother, Razia Begum, a 48-year-old resident of Telangana, reportedly rode on a two-wheeler for three days to bring her son, who was stranded in Andhra Pradesh, back. She travelled from Bodha town in Nizamabad, Telangana to Rahmatabad in Nellore, Andhra Pradesh — around 1,400 km on a scooter. Begum had sought permission from local police before embarking on this journey amidst the lockdown.

Razia is a government teacher. She started the journey on Monday and returned with her 17-year old son on Wednesday evening. “It was a difficult journey on a small two-wheeler for a woman. But the determination to bring my son back overtook all my fears. I packed rotis and they kept me going. It was fearsome in the nights with no traffic movement and people on roads.
Someone who had never stepped out of the town on scooty, she succeeded reaching Rehmatabad the next day with the help of Google maps and locals along 700-km.

“I stopped at the checkposts to take some break and then continued my journey,” said the woman, who has two sons and a daughter.

She picked up her son and left for Bodhan on the evening of April 7 and reached home the next day. The distance was long but the concern and love for her son made the task easy. “If you have the determination you can achieve anything,” she said.
