STF Haryana police on a information that three trucks loaded with illicit wine are parked outside a ‘dhaba’ on National Highway at Murthal in Sonepat district conducted immediate raid and seized 522 cases liquor dispatched from Derra-bassi in Punjab for supply to various traders at Delhi. Police team arrested three persons identified as Manjeet Singh resident of Ajrapor in Patiala district, Balinder singh resident of Mubarpur in Mohali district and Devinder Singh resident of Derra-bassi taking food. Murthel police also arrived and a case was registered under excise act against three and all stocks were seized. The value of illicit wine was estimated Rs three crore by state excise department.
