Local as vocal: MSME needs brand for their products

The entrepreneurs of micro, small and medium enterprises (MSME) said that they suffered a lot due to lock down when country is facing corona virus epidemic outbreak, which taught them  that we are competent enough to stand on their own feets on the basis of indigenously manufactured products which are superior in quality than products being imported from other countries as such traders as well as consumers should prefer to buy and sell locally manufactured products rather running after costly products imported from other countries. While addressing on May 12, 2020, our Prime Minister Narender Modi had rightly said that we should jointly make ‘local as vocal’ preferring to sell manufactured in country by MSME. We should not forget, scientists of our country are alway busy in developintg new quality products been manufactured around us in the country, which are better than those imported from other countries. It cannot be denied that indigenously manufactured products are much better in quality as compared to products imported from other countries.

 President of Industry Association Pnmipat R.B. Gupta said, textile manufacturing machines  earlier being imported from China and Europe are now being manufactured at country’s textile hub Panipat available at much lesser rates and superior in quality. He said, we are not dependent on other countries for mink blankets and 3D bed sheets, sofa and cushion covers which have now become brand and 3D textile products, especial bed sheets manufactured  in the town are much superior in quality as compared to products imported from China in much demand in domestic as well as international markets because earlier 3D range of products were available only in China. He said, Panipat exporters are now getting handsome orders for blankets and other handloom products from other countries.

 Information reveals that handloom products manufactured at Panipat are now a brand and products like blanket, carpet, rug, bathmat, curtain cloth, cushion cover are widely sold at prominent showrooms, Big Bazar, Vishal Mega Mart, Relience Stores and on-line marketing and now introducing range of 3D products will further boost sale not only in domestic markets as well as in export markets. Gupta said, large number of reputed companies having brand image in the country are getting textile and handloom products manufactured at Panipat on third party manufacturing basis  and selling in their brand at much higher prices. He said, a products got manufactured at the rate Rs 600 each is usually sold in a reputed brand at a big showrmm at the price up to Rs 2500 each. Gupta gave example of a tomato sauce manufactured by Panipat based company Pan Foods is being sold across the country in Baba Ramdev’s brand. He further added, manufacturers of handloom and textile industry Panipat need brand as well as marketing support by the government. Gupta said, yarn being sold at the rate Rs 300 per kilogram as raw material is sold at the price up to Rs 3000 kilogram as a finished product.

The president of All India Plywood Industry Devinder Chawla said that MSME in the country needs government support to upgrade quality and promote brands enabling buyers to prefer indigenously manyfactured goods and it is right time when most of buyers in the country as well as in other countries are not willing to purchase goods manufactured in China demanding government of India to impose ban over  imports from China. Chawla said, Ambala is famous for manufacturing scientific and medical instruments having more than 1000 units in the town, Yamunanagar is famout for manufuring quality plywoof having more than 600 units in the town, Jagadhari is famous for manufacturing metallic utensils having about 500 units, Karnal is famous for manufacturing agriculture equipments, Rohtak famous for manufacturing auto parts having more than 1000 manufacturing units, Bahadurgarh famous for manufacturing footwears, Hisar famous for manufacturing steel and steel pipes and all need government support for the promotion of their brand.

 Rajesh Khuller Chairman HSIIDC told media persons that in a recent meeting decision has been taken to develop residential accomodation for migrant labourers in industrial estates in Haryana state in view of problems face by them during KOVID-19 when most of the labourers migrated to their native states when large number of industrial units closed down their shutters during lock down and migrant labourers were left with no alternative except to leave for their home towns. Khuller said, large number of foreign companies has expressed desire to make industrial investment in our country and impressed by attractive offers by Haryana state government to provide lease hold land, round the clock power supply and provision  for all facilities to set up industry in Haryana under a roof the investors first choice was to make investment in Haryana state.
