BBMB surpasses power generation target

Chandigarh: Bhakra Beas Management Board has surpassed power generation targets of 1447 million units fixed by the Central Electricity Authority for the financial year 2020-21 (up to 31 May, 2020) by generating 2065.44 million units of which is 42.74% more than the target.  The plant availability for the period 1st April 2020 to 31st May 2020 excluding RM&U is 99.66% and transmission system availability for the period 1st April 2020 to 31st May 2020 is 99.81%. This has been possible due to judicious operation of reservoirs as well as efficient operation and maintenance of the generating units with one of the highest plant availability.
