Ambala (Satish Handa): Long awaited proposal by Haryana state government to have a commercial airport is likely to be completed now. It was due to efforts by Anil Vij Home MInister Haryana to get approval by the Union Government last year but remained dumped in files for some time. A team from Aviation Depart also visited Ambala when it was decided that proposal airport having temporary terminal would be laid near existing Indian Airforce Station On the instruction from government Deputy Commissioner Ambala Ashok Kumar had seen sites for proposed airport on Tuesday at village Garnala, Barnala and Dhankor near Indian Airport Station. He said,few sites have been selected for this project to have regular commercial flights to different states across the country. DC assured thyat work on this beneficial project would start soon.
