3 years record being investigated to check corruptions in property registrations in Haryana

Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala has ordered investigation of all properties registrations cases in past three years in all districts in Haryana state with effect from April 2017 to April 2019 in view of large number of irregularities and corruption reported in tehsil offices all over in the state in which few districts including Gurugram, Faridabad, Rohtak, Sonepat, Panipat and Ambala were found worst affected during lock down period when thousands of registrations cases alleged finalised on the basis of fake documents without obtaining no objection certificate from District Town Planner, Municipal Corporation Offices, in unapproved colonies developed by land mafias as such state government imposed ban over registrations with effect from on July 22, 2020 and Additional Chief Secretary  Vijay Vardhan directed all Deputy Commissioners in the state to inspect all embezzlements in registration of property cases in past three years and send him a report before August 31, 2020 to take action against these illegal registrations as well as revenue offices and their staff involved in embezzlements.

Few days ago, teams of Chief Minister Flying Squad conducted raids in tehsil offices in several districts and collected records of registrations conducted during lock down period and finding number of irregularities and embezzlements in registration cases at Gurugram registered cases against seven revenue officers in Gurugram district with immediate effect. Dushyant Chautala while talking to media persons warned that all those involved in corrupt practices will not be spared at any cost and according to sources number of revenue officers in the state has started looking for the shelter by political leaders as well as influential persons to save them. Information reveals, out of total number of 32 lakh properties in urban areas in the state, data of nearly 18 lakh properties has already been uploaded on department portal and detail of remaining properties will be available on digital platform by October 31, 2020 to bring transparency for which new software is under preparation and all registration case will be finalized within two weeks in case objection is not received in this time, Deputy Chief Minister Chautala assured. However, registrations for agriculture land have resumed with effect of August 17 as announced by the government.

According to Dushyant Chautala, trend about corruption in registration of properties is going on since a long times when political parties other than BJP were ruling in the state and one could find large number of agents wandering outside tehsil offices in the state. Information reveals, ruling BJP in alliance with JJP government has now decided to take stern action against owners of illegal properties purchased land from developers in unauthorized colonies, land mafias developing unauthorized colonies illegally without seeking permission from District Town Planner, applicants submitting documents without obtaining no objection certificate from concerned authorities including Municipal Corporation or Haryana Urban Development Authority and above all revenue officers and their staff members involved in finalizing a registration case in controlled area violating Section 7(A) without obtained NOC.
