HM Haryana Flying Squad to wipe out crime & corruption in Haryana

In view of fast increasing cases of crimes and corruption in the state, Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij has decided to start HM Flying Squad similar to CM Flying Squad to wipe out not only crimes bust also corruption from the state. Addressing media persons in a press conference at Chandigarh in which State Home Secretary Rajiv Arora and DGP Haryana Manoj Yadav were also present told that Navdeep Singh Virk ADGP (Law & Order) has already started work on formation of Squad led by a senior IPS officer and comprising of a team of DSPs, Police Inspectors, Sub Inspectors, ASIs and other staff. He said, flying squad will conduct surprise raids where illegal activities are going on in the state and arrest criminals and antisocial elements as in case of CM Flying Squad working under the control of Alok Kumar Mittal head CID Haryana under direct control of Manohar Lal Khatter Chief Minister, which succeeded in busting large number of rackets involved in illegal activities in the state in recent past sometime.

Information reveals, Notification to establish Women Police Stations in Haryana state to deal cases of crimes against women promptly in the state was approved in August 2015 and there are as many as three dozen such police stations successfully functioning in the state at present doing fairly well to provide quick justice to females. State government Haryana has now decided to enhance legal powers to women police stations under several Indian Penal Codes including amendments in Child Marriage Act 2006, amendments in sections 354, 354A, 354B, 354C, 354D IPC related to sex exploitation to  females made after Nirbhya gang rape case reported at Delhi when necessary amendments in crimes against women introduced in 2018 related to sex exploitation to female such as chasing, removing clothes, passing vulgar remarks, sexual attack, taking photograph, attempt to rape or raping a minor were liable to be punished under sections 376, 376AB, 376DA and 376DB of IPC.

Information also reveals, State Vigilance Bureau Haryana has registered 23 cases  against corrupt government employees in past two months, of them investigation in as many as 10 cases has been completed and Bureau has already sent report of such cases to the government to take departmental action against them and register cases with police.  State Vigilance Bureau also arrested six state government employees from revenue, roadways, police and food & supply departments allegedly caught red handed accepting bribe ranging between Rs 2000 to Rs 20000 during months August and September this year and cases were registered against them.

In view of frauds detected in registration of properties in Haryana state, especially during lock down period when thousands of illegal registration cases of properties in Tehsil offices in the state were finalised in unauthorized colonies  or without obtaining ‘no objection certificates’ from concerned departments. Dushyant Chautala Deputy Chief Minister took a serious action against irregularities in this regard and directed all SDMs in the state to furnish the particulars of all such property registration cases finalised in past three years after checking irregularities in all cases to be submitted to Sanjeev Kaushal senior IAS officer by October 16, 2020. Sources reveal, nearly 18 tensil offices in the state including Gurugram, Sonepat, Faridabad, Palwal, Karnal, Ambala City, Ambala Cantt, Sohna, Rewari, Bawel and Panchkula suspected having maximum number of irregularities are on government radar. He warned that officers, staff involved in corrupt practices will not be spared at any cost and there is likely all such registration cases will be cancelled.
