75% reservation in jobs for Haryana youths in private sector approved

Chandigarh (SATISH HANDA): Governor Haryana Satyadev Narain Arya has given approval after five months for 75% reservation in jobs for youths hailing from Haryana state in private sector including all private offices, industries, societies and trusts in the state. The bill was passed in Haryana Vidhan Sabha session on November 5 last year, sent to Governor Haryana for approval and returned to the state government with several objections and clarifications required in this respect, which was returned to the Governor duly clarified by the state government. Both Manohar Lal Khattr Chief Minister and Dushyant Chautala Deputy Chief Minister Haryana also met Governor in this regard since Dushyant Chautala of JJP formed government in Haryana state in alliance with BJP in its poll manifesto had assured youths in the state to provide 75% reservation in jobs in the state in government as well as in private sector in case their government comes to power.

However, after getting clarifications, Governor Haryana has now approved the proposal and notification in this regard has been released. According to notification, all private organizations in Haryana state including industries, companies, societies and trusts would be required to offer 75% jobs of monthly salary below Rs 50000 to youths hailing from Haryana state and will be required to upload data of all employees on government portal after every three months and in case of neglect in this regard they will be fined. However, all private sector organizations having employees strength above 10 will be required to get themselves registered with state industries department and at the same time will not terminate the services of their existing employees from other states. According to information, in case of requirement of an skilled workers the private organization will be permitted to fill up vacancy from other states with the permission from industries department. According to notification, SDM or and officers of above rank will be permissible to check the records of an organization in private sector.
