2 lakh families in Haryana to adopt milk dairy farming

Haryana state is known for production of milk in the country and state government has decided nearly two lakh families in the state to adopt the profession of milk production and manufacturing of milk products in the state as such proposal has been finalized by Haryana Daily Development Corporation to set up 5000 VITA  booths to sell milk and milk products in the state. Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khatter in a meeting with the senior officers of BJP Cooperative Department, Haryana Dairy Development Corporation, Animal Husbandry Department in which BJP state president Om Parkash Dhankhad was also present declared that Haryana state government did a lot of work to increase milk production in past seven years as a result per capita daily availability of milk at present is identified as 1142 gm, which was 740 gm in the year 2014.

Chief Minister said, agriculture area in the state is fast reducing as such farmers can increase their source of income with the additional professions including dairy farming along with agriculture farming as such state government has decided to set up nearly 5000 new VITA booths for the sale of milk as well as milk products in the state. He said, state government has decided to set up own Trust fir the insurance of animals and farmers not to remain dependant on private insurance companies. Khatter said, family identity card scheme by the state government reveals that nearly 10 lakh persons looking for employment were registered in Haryana state. He said, state government will also make available loan facility to small farmers to set up dairy farms.
