Punjab’s unstable economy will be back on track by boosting trade & industry : Harpal Cheema

Punjab Finance Minister Harpal Cheema while interacting with local traders, industrialists and other businessmen in Amritsar said that progress of the state is not possible without promoting industry and trade and under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. Our government will put the volatile economic situation of the state back on track by giving impetus to industries.

Welcoming Finance, Taxes, Excise and Co-operation Minister Harpal Cheema from Amritsar and Tarn Taran, the industrialists and traders said that it was a historic decision of the Punjab government to solicit suggestions from all sections of the people for budget formulation. This is a very commendable initiative through which the people of the state will become partners in the public budget.

Finance Minister of Punjab while listening carefully to the suggestions made by the industry representatives in various fields said that the suggestions of each and every person for the public budget would be considered in a cordial and serious manner after which appropriate decision would be taken. A practical dress will be worn.

Describing industries as the backbone for the development, growth and employment generation of the state, the Finance Minister said that the various issues raised by the industrialists would be taken up by the government headed by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann with full vigor in future. The solution will be worked out.

He said that in the last 25 years no government has talked about industries and has not even summarized the required infrastructure focal points etc. for industries.

He assured that the people’s issues would be given full priority in the public budget by the Aam Aadmi Party government and now by boosting the industries the economy of the state would be strengthened as well as create employment opportunities.
