Among 7 arrested allegedly kidnapped for ransom demand include 5 students,a minor

Ambala police arrested seven youths including three polytechnic students, two ITI students, a youth working in a shop and a minor sent to Observation Home. The youths were arrested by the police within hours after the crime in which they kidnapped a youth Sonu Shukla son of Vinay Kumar resident of Old Ghas Mandi Ambala City when he was returning home from work place late evening and demanded Rs 10 lakh ransom from his father failing which threatened to kill his son. Police swing into action immediately after receiving complaint from Vinay Kumar and succeeded in arresting all accused within few hours who admitted crime during preliminary police interrogation.

Jashandeep Singh Randhawa SP Ambala told media persons that arrested youths were identified as Jony resident of village Patrehri in Shahzadpur block Ambala district, Aakash resident of village Jaspura in Raipur Rani  tehsil in Panchkula district, Ashwani resident of village Jatwad in Ambala district, Shubham resident of Dinar Pur near Saha in Ambala district, Harbir Singh a resident of village Panjokhra near the town and the mastermind in the racket Rahul a resident of Ambala City. All arrested youths were were produced in the court sent to jail under judicial custody whereas arrested minor youth involved in conspiracy was sent to Government Observation Home.
