Haryana MLAs getting threaten, ransom demand from criminals

A delegation of nearly two dozen Congress MLAs led by former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda also leader of opposition in Haryana Vidhan Sabha and HPCC president Ch.  Udaibhan submitted memorandum to Haryana Governor at Rajya Bhawan demanding immediate action against threatening calls as well as ransom demand received by MLAs in the state demanding ruling state government to provide them security. Expressing deep concern Hooda said, law and order situation in Haryana state worsening day by day since past few years even MLAs are not being spared by the criminals.

On the other hand, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khatter called immediate meeting to have a thorough feed back on this issue in which Haryana Home Minister Anil Vij, Home Secretary  Rajiv Arora, Director General Police P.K. Aggarwal were also present . Chief Minister directed DGP to take immediate action for the arrest of accused making threatening calls to MLA and demanding ransom from them.

Information reveals, among those MLAs received threatening calls in recent past include Renu Bala MLA from Sadhaura, Subhash Gangoli MLA from Safidon, Surinder Panwar MLA from Sonipat, Sanjay Singh BJP MLA from  Sohna received international threatening calls whereas on the other hand Maman Khan MLA from Ferozpur Jhirka and Kuldeep Vats MLA from Badli received threatening calls from local hard core criminals.

Later talking to media persons, State Home Minister Anil Vij  said a Special Task Force has been constituted by the state government to trap such criminals in police net immediately expecting satisfactory results. Meanwhile, Bhupinder Singh Hooda has demanded Union government to intervene into this serious problem in which MLAs looking after security of lakhs of people in their constituencies have themselves started getting threats from terrorists as well as antisocial elements. He said, investigation in this case should be handed over to some central government agency which are often being misused for political purposes rather using them for the arrest of such type of accused.

HPCC president Ch. Udaibhan also accused ruling government in the state have lost control over antisocial elements and criminals. While talking to Governor, Haryana  Hooda reminded large number of corruption cases reported in the state in past couple of years in which senior government officers were involved including recent corruption case of Haryana Pharmacy Council presently being investigated by SIT demanding all such cases should be handed over to CBI immediately for investigation instead of SIT.  Anil Vij has assured that criminals making threatening calls to MLAs will not be spared and trapped in police net soon.
