Past few years scenario reveals that the oldest, famous political party in the country Congress is losing its ground now squeezed to only in few states. A controversy is going on as regard large number of prominent leaders in the party said good bye especially after last Lok Sabha polls in the country and there is a long list of political leaders expressed dis-satisfaction in the party and looking for a change. It cannot be denied that resignation of former Punjab chief minister Capt. Amrinder Singh prior to last Vidhan Sabha in Punjab brought a big dent in party network in the state resulting Congress suffered heavy defeat in polls and lost power in the state.

Now after recent resignation of another heavy weight Congress leader Gulam Nabi Azad no signs of discomfort are visible in Congress high command comprising of Gandhi family as well as a handful of selfish party leaders expert in buttering seniors for self-vested interest and to remain in party, usually seen blaming those leaders left Congress party in recent past in order to have benefits from ruling BJP government in the country. Resignation of Congress MLA Kuldeep Bishnoi from Haryana Vidhan Sabha was another incident severely affected the party.

Since after July 2019 when Rahul Gandhi after defeat in elections left the chair of  President in Congress high command lying vacant since past about three years for one reason or the other and Congress has been working as a private company of  a family comprising of a handful Congress leaders working as its staff members. Surprisingly,  Rahul Gandhi in-spite of having no position in this private company possesses not only all powers but also take important decisions behind the curtain on the direction by Smt Sonia Gandhi functioning as mastermind to operate the company.

Although, pointed out at several occasions by Smt Sonia Gandhi that next president in Congress network in the country will be not from Gandhi family but an outsider as desired by large number of senior party leaders for which the example is those 23 leaders expressed dis-satisfaction in the party in past years, but three year have passed Congress high command has failed to take action in this regard except lingering on this matter for no reasons which clearly indicate that Smt Sonia Gandhi wants to see Rahul Gandhi on party president chair again.

There was a time when Gandhi family was power for Congress, which has now become a burden for the party resulting Congress has been forcibly wiped out from power not in centre but in majority of states in the country. According to political experts, apart from functioning like a family political party its senior leaders make frequent comments on Prime Minister Narender Modi as well as other ruling party leaders and beneficial government policies are causing severe harm to Congress reputation.    

Gulam Nabi Azad in his resignation submitted to Congress high command accused Rahul Gandhi responsible for spoiling the reputation of Congress which is well aware to every party leader but no one dares to raise any question against him. In a recent Congress working committee meeting at Delhi Malikarjun Khadge said there is immediate need for appointment of President in Congress high command and there is no suitable candidate for this post in the party other than Rahul Gandhi He said, Rahul Gandhi had submitted resignation  after Congress defeat in elections on humanity ground in 2019. Now question arises if 23 dis-satisfied Congress leaders will accept Rahul Gandhi as party president.

Information reveals, Gulam Nabi Azad is going to launch a new political party shortly from Jammu-Kashmir and large number of political leaders and former MLAs are presently at Delhi in this regard.
