Eight packets of drug smuggled from Pakistan seized at Indo-Pak border

Amritsar, September 6 – Border Security Force (BSF) here seized eight packets of drugs which were smuggled to India from Pakistan.

In an official statement here today BSF official informed that during morning hours, on specific input BSF troops while carrying – out Special operation noticed a suspicious bag of cloth (multicolor) ahead of border security Fence, in Amritsar Sector.

On opening of this bag, BSF troops seized seven packets of heroin having gross weight 3.630 Kg and one packet of opium – weight- 40 gms.

So far, there was no arrest as investigation was underway.
