STF arrests young man from J&K with 5 Kilogram heroin

Amritsar, October 2 : Special Task Force wing of Punjab Police has arrested youth from   Jammu and Kashmir with the recovery of five kilogram Heroin which was smuggled to India from Pakistan.

Talking to media here today STF AIG Rashpal Singh, confirming the arrest of accused Nazumudin (35) from Rajouri – Poonch area of Jammu and Kashmir on tip of said that accused was government teacher in J&K used to bring drug from the neighboring country of Pakistan to further dispose it of in the Punjab State.

Continuing further, AIG said that the accused was directly intouch with the accused Jaggu lodged in the Jail in Ferozpur district of Punjab. It was Jaggu who used to give demand to the accused for the drug consignment for the State of Punjab.

AIG said that Jaggu was running a drug racket while sitting in the jail through a mobile phone and also managed to give payment for the drug being brought from J&K for the Punjab.

Jaggu was also being brought from the Ferozpur jail on a production warrant for investigation, said AIG.
