Padma Yozna & Business Summit to increase industrial growth & exports in Haryana

Haryana government has approved a project ‘Padma Yozna’ in the state to develop micro and small industrial units in 4000 acre area in 143 blocks in 14 states across the state on which amount between Rs 25 to 30 thousand crore will be invested, which will be linked with ‘one block one product’ scheme already approved earlier in month February this year. This project will not only increase industrial growth but also likely to provide employment opportunities to nearly three lakh persons in the state directly or indirectly.

Recently, a business summit was organized by Haryana state government at Gurugram presided by Anand Mohan Sharan Additional Chief Secretary Industries Haryana in which large number of industrialists in the country and abroad as well as Indian Ambassadors from seven countries were also invited to participate in summit to discuss opportunities as regard increase in production and growth in exports in the country at present when business opportunities for India are favorable in world markets.

Pradeep Kumar Rawat Indian Ambassador in China said, business opportunities in India especially in Haryana state are favorable for investors at present due to increase in demand in export markets. Giving example of renowned company like ‘Apple’ started production of E-phone in India now expected to start another units to manufacture accessories too. He suggested   Government of India should identify such industries enable to attract reputed foreign manufacturers to invest in India and there is huge scope for export of electronics and textile goods from India at present. There were few prominent industrialists present in this summit expressed desire to set up export oriented units in Haryana.

Indian Ambassador in Denmark Pooja Kapoor said that impressed by Haryana state government presentation several manufacturers in Denmark earlier investing in Bangluru has now assured to start their production units at Gurugram in Haryana state instead of Bangluru producing textile, medical  instruments, organic millets having much demand in Denmark. Indian Ambassador in Italy Dr Meena Malhotra said that large number of  important information are available on the websites of Union as well as State Government Haryana and suggested to give a list of important Indian exporters made available on these websites to enable foreign importers to have contact with influential Indian exporters directly on a platform.  Other Indian Ambassadors present in the summit also gave their suggestions and told that there is much improvement in the reputation of Indian manufacturer in export markets across the world.

In the end of seminar, Anand Mohan Sharan in his address said Haryana state known as heart of self sufficient India did record exports during year 2021-22 which include Rice, IT products, Handlooms, Handicrafts, Automobile Components, Machinery, Medicines and spare parts. He disclosed, in order to boost industry in the state there is a proposal to develop four clusters in category A, B, C and D which will include Gurugram and Faridabad in Category A cluster.
