Panipat entrepreneurs preparing for Textile Trade Fair in Germany

Panipat handloom, textile, blanket and carpet industry have name and fame not only in India but all over in the world. The industry had to suffer a lot in past two years due to spread of epidemic outbreak in the country as well as all over the world in the absence of getting orders and frequent lock down declared by the government. The manufacturers of Panipat textile industry as well as exporters in the town hope to get good orders not only from domestic markets but also from export markets this year and has started preparations for coming Textile Trade Fair to be held at Frankfurt with effect from 10th January to 13th January 2023 displaying  handloom and home furnishing products and with effect from 14th January to 16th January 2023 displaying  textile products at Hanovar in West Germany. This Trade fair held every year in Germany has been regarded as most prestigious fair in the world attracting large number of manufacturers as well as buyers from all over world, but the fair was postponed during past two years due to epidemic outbreak spread all over world and the manufacturers as well as exporters of Panipat hope to get handsome orders in coming Trade Fair.

Lalit Goyal President of Panipat Exporters Association told that exporters from Panipat has booked 150 stalls in coming trade fair which attracts huge crowd of visitors from each and every country and according to past scenario Panipat manufacturers are getting good orders to make them busy for the whole year and at present busy to prepare new samples for displaying in coming trade fair. Goyal said, Panipat manufacturers failed to get good response in past two years in-spite of the fact they were able to procure few orders through video conference displaying samples of their products but could not execute these orders timely due to frequent lock down declared by state government as well as labour problem since most of the workers had left for their native places during epidemic outbreak.

Talking to media persons Goyal predicted good response from coming trade fair at Germany this year due to lack of business procured by them in past two years. The General Secretary of Carpet Manufacturers Association at Panipat Anil Mittal too expressed hopes to receive good orders for carpets manufactured at Panipat in coming trade fair at Germany, especially in newly introduced carpets manufactured from yarn. Mittal told that carpets manufactured at Panipat are in much demand all over in the world and manufacturers are busy in preparing samples in different designs manufactured with yarn at present likely to be ready by November 30 this year which would be dispatched to prominent buyers in the world as well as displayed in coming trade fair hoping to get good orders this year.
