Ambala : Talking to media persons at his camp office Ambala, Haryana Home & Health Minister Anil VIj said that illegal construction of residential as well as commercial properties belonging to drug smugglers and suppliers in Haryana state are being demolished under state government’s bulldozer campaign in the state in which several structures illegally constructed by these hard core criminals have already been demolished in past some time in Haryana and this campaign has be highly appreciated by several state governments in the country facing severe problems due to drugs smuggling and drug addictions in people, especially young generation. Vij told media persons that as many as 28 another such illegally built structures owned by drug smugglers have already been identified in Haryana state and the case has been forwarded to government in centre for clearance when action for demolishing these buildings immediately will be taken. Vij said, Narcotic Control Bureau constituted in Haryana state led by a senior IPS officer Shrikant Jaghav also holding the charge of ADC Ambala division has brought good results in past sometime when number of drug smugglers were arrested and their stocks seized presently having large number of illegal properties of drug smugglers, suppliers on its radar.
Vij said, no one would be allowed to play with the future and health of residents, especially young generation in Haryana state as long as he is there and state government Haryana is going to intensify the activities of Narcotic Bureau further to wipe out drug smuggling and addiction among residents in the state completely. He said police in the state has been directed to take stern action against those involved in this illegal business. Vij told media persons that he had started bulldozer campaign in Haryana state from his own Vidhan Sabha constituency Ambala Cantty and demolished a couple of illegal properties owned by drug smugglers.
Vij said, state government is going to set up Panchayat level societies all over in the state to fight against drug smuggling and supplies in their area and bring awareness among people especially youths residing in rural as well as in urban areas about ill-effects of drugs. He said an AP has already been prepared to find out activities as regard drugs smuggling and supplies in the areas and on the basis of information government will take immediate action against those involved in drug smuggling and supplies. Vij said that a data base of persons involved in drug business is being prepared and government will not hesitate to bring their illegal properties under bulldozer scheme.
