Haryana to develop five industrial towns to ease industry traffic at Delhi

Haryana state known for agriculture production in the country in past years is likely to bring industrial revolution in future with the decision of Haryana state government to develop five industrial towns on both sides of Kundli-Manesar-Palwal Express way (KMP) in view of increasing population in future, which will also provide relief to industry entrepreneurs at Delhi having manufacturing units situated in thickly populated areas as well as residents of Delhi suffering from severe pollution, smoke in the atmosphere round the clock. The decision will also be beneficial for Haryana state to bring prosperity as well as sources of employment in the state, besides reducing industrial population, pollution and improvement in traffic conditions at Delhi.

Talking to media persons Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khatter told that there is a proposal to develop five industrial towns on both sides of 136 km long KMP by HSIIDC similar to Scotland and Singapore , besides a proposal already finalized by Haryana state government to develop an Iconic  building similar to Universal Studio and Burj Khalifa at Gurugram for which land has already been procured. According to the proposal, decision has been taken to develop five industrial towns in 50000 hectare area each on both sides of KMP near Bahadurgarh, between Kundli and Kharkhoda, near Sohna and Mewat in districts Faridabad, Palwal, Gurugram, Nuh, Rohtak and Jhajjar. Chief Minister told that HSIIDC officers have been directed to take prompt action in this regard providing best possible facilities to those setting up industry in proposed five industrial towns. He said, international level investors and consultants have been invited enabling Haryana to become a state of industrial towns in the country.

While interacting media, Chief Minister told that in past eight years BJP rule in Haryana state fresh industrial investment of value Rs 18422 crore has been invited in the state, whereas 1,59,622 new industrial units  have been set up in the state in this period provided employment to 12,60,000 persons since industrial entrepreneurs were impressed by the developments n the state  including construction of Kundli-Maneasr- Palwal Express way, construction of rail track between Palwal and Sonipat and Haryana Arbital  Rail  Coridor presently under construction as such large number of industrial entrepreneurs are willing to set up industry in Haryana. Khatter said, there is likely of large number of industrial units situated in thickly populated areas at Delhi may shift their units to these five newly proposed industrial towns in Haryana having a network of roads and three to four highways connected with Express way near  Delhi.

Khatter told media persons that large number leading industrial houses as well as foreign companies are setting up Mega Projects in Haryana with heavy investment worth Rs 20971 crore during current year 2021-2 2 which include Flipcort Group setting up a unit at Hazipur (Manesar) in 140 acre area with investment of Rs 1389 crore likely to provide employment to more than 16000 persons. Chief Minister said that among other major projects arrived or likely to invest in the state include Maruti Suzuki setting up a plant on 800 acre area with Rs 18000 crore investment at IMT Kharkhoda. Suzuki Motorcycle manufacturing company also setting up a plant at IMT Kharkhoda in 100 acres area, Birla Group setting up industry in 70 acre area at Panipat with the investment worth Rs Rs 1100 crore, Amprex Technologies Limited setting up a plant in 178 acre area with the investment of Rs 7083 crore likely to provide employment to nearly 7000 persons. He told that there are few other investors including Anrich Agro, Panasonic India, Kandhari Beverages and Aarti Greentech expressed desire to set up industry in Hartana state.
