2 kg 700 gm opium recovered from drug smuggler at Ambala

Ambala : CIA In-charge Joginder Singh on a secret information about a drug smuggler from Jharkhand supplying opium to a supplier near old railway reservation complex near Ambala Cantt railway station conducted raid and arrested Pancham Yadav (23) resident of Jharkhand while supplying 2 kg 700 gm opium to a supplier Babu Khan resident of village Ratoli in Sadhoura police station in Ambala district arrived in a Maruti Alto car bearing registration no. HR-10 P-0145 when police team arrested both while making supply.  A case was registered against both at GRP police station Ambala Cantt railwat station. During preliminary investigation Pancham Yadav admitted that he made six to seven transactions for supply of drugs in past also and carry the consignment of drugs while travelling in the train for which he is being paid Rs 30000 each time.

CIA In-charge told that a special campaign against drug smuggling has been launched by DSP Dheeraj Kumar on the orders of Ms Sangeeta Kalia SP Railways Haryana since most of the drug smugglers carry drugs while travelling in the train. Pancham Yadav told that he had to supply opium also to another supplier a resident of village Bhogpur in Sadhoura police station but he did not came to collect opium consignment. A case was registered at GRP police station Ambala Cantt against both under NDPS Act. The accused were produced in the court today and remanded to police custody,
