Amritsar, January 9 – Local Government Minister, Dr. Inderbir Singh Nijjar said that the government led by Chief Minister Punjab Bhagwant Mann is fully committed to provide basic facilities to the people of the state and the Punjab government has decided to spend Rs.6.81 crore on development works for the beautification of Amritsar.
In a statement issued here today, Dr. Nijjar today after inaugurating the installation of interlocking tiles at a cost of Rs.40 lakh in Pothohar Bazaar, Kot Mit Singh and Khalsa Nagar under Ward No. 38. He said that it is a matter of great sadness that no one has taken care of this area for the last 35 years and this area is completely backward. Dr. Nijjar said that now all the facilities will be provided to the people in this area and first of all the work of the streets and drains will be completed.
He said that our dream is to make the life of the people of the state easy and provide a clean and tidy environment. He said that there is no shortage of funds for development.
