XLRI Jamshedpur hosted its Graduation Ceremony for Postgraduate Certificate in General Management

Jamshedpur  : XLRI is among the top 10 Indian B-schools & pioneers in Live Virtual Learning. Over 7000 working professionals have pursued Postgraduate Certificate Programmes so far and have advanced their careers within and outside of their organizations. And today on January 6, 2023 another set of 30 working professionals of Tata Steel graduated. The programme consisted of 5 days of intensive campus learning and group learning sessions.



T V Narendran, Managing Director of Tata Steel Ltd graced the graduation ceremony as the Chief Guest and delivered the Convocation address.

 Fr S George, Director, XLRI Jamshedpur addressed the audience – “It gives me immense pleasure to have each one of you here. After hard work and commitment, you all have reached here. Let’s cherish this day and keep it in our memory forever.”

 T V Narendran presented the Medal for Academic Excellence to Pankaj Kumar Tiwari, PGCBM (2021-22) Batch.  Addressing the crowd, he said, “This course is a win-win for both the organisations: XLRI & Tata Steel. It’s the best for Tata Steel to take full leverage of XLRI as an institution to nourish our employees. Anyone can reach anywhere in Tata Steel. That’s why we invest in the people and people invest in our organisations. Another batch of our working executives is getting ready to be a part of this course. We make sure that there are enough opportunities for our employees. Programs like these help in broadening your horizons. Learning will never end, it will happen everyday. Any day if you reflect in your day, learning will happen. You also learn from observing different people. These are the learnings you will get from different organisations. Your institute will build the foundation of your learning, but it will continue in any organisation you join.”

 “This course was started to develop and nourish high quality talent to enhance the managerial confidence at Tata Steel. The first batch graduated in November 2021 and today is the second batch graduating. I thank all the Tata Steel professionals for helping us in designing this course as per their requirements”, said M Srimannarayana, the Associate Dean, Corporate Programmes & VIL, XLRI Jamshedpur.

About PGCBM: The course has been designed to help working executives upgrade their business and general management acumen, hone their managerial skills and add value to their professional career without having the need to leave their jobs, cities and families. The programme consists of 5 days of in-campus sessions. Participants are expected to stay in the campus for 5 days of intensive campus learning and group learning sessions. Lectures are delivered by XLRI faculty over a Video Conference based Virtual Classroom platform across India. Students are conferred with Postgraduate Certificate in Business Management (PGCBM) directly by XLRI Jamshedpur. Students will also be bestowed with the coveted XLRI Executive Education Alumni status.
