Amritsar: January 22 – The two-day state executive of Bharatiya Janata Party Punjab began here today under the chairmanship of State BJP President Ashwani Sharma.
On the first day, the state executive was inaugurated by BJP National Vice President Soudan Singh, BJP Punjab in-charge Vijay Rupani, Co-in-charge Dr. Narendra Singh Raina and Organization General Secretary Srimanthari Srinivasulu by lighting the lamp and singing Vande Mataram.
Ashwani Sharma first presented the introductory message in the executive committee meeting. Vijay Rupani guided the present office bearers how to win the 13 Lok Sabha seats in Punjab. Thereafter, Dr. Subhash Sharma gave detailed information about the Lok Sabha migration plan and the journey against drugs and corruption. In the second session of the executive, Organization General Secretary Srimanthari Sreenivasulu asked the present office bearers to complete the organization structure up to the booth level in their respective districts as soon as possible.
Addressing the executive meeting, Ashwani Sharma said that People of Punjab were eying on the Bharatiya Janata Party, because the people of Punjab now want their own development and that of the state. He said that the Bharatiya Janata Party will contest all the upcoming civic elections in Punjab on its own and BJP workers have already entered the fray for this. He asked the BJP workers to raise the issues and problems being faced by the public more loudly and to take the people along with them to protest if the government or the administration didn’t listen.
Sharma said that the Bharatiya Janata Party was going to begin a drive on war footing against drug and corruption throughout the Punjab to awaken the youth and public against drugs and to make Punjab drug-free. It will start from the month of March, which will continue till August. He said that the BJP was getting positive support in the cities as well as in the rural areas.
Sharma said that very soon BJP’s National President J. P. Nadda and Union Home Minister Amit Shah will visit all the Vidhan sabha constituencies of Punjab to address rallies.
