Ambala: Large number of Congress workers at Ambala launched protests outside the office of State Bank of India at Agarsen Chowk and LIC office near Vijay Theatre in Ambala City led by Devinder Verma Deligate State Congress Committee demanding a probe into the stock rout of Adani Group companies. Information reveals, Congress party is holding country wide protests in front of Life Insurance Corporation (LIC) offices and State Bank of India branches Bishan Das Saini MLA was chief guest in the protest rally at Ambala. Verma demanded immediate investigation into alleged scam suspecting threat to huge amount of money deposited with the LIC and SBI by the people in the country.
Congress workers demand a Joint Parliament Committee (JPC) or Supreme Court-monitored probe into allegations raised by US short-seller Hindenburg Research against Adani Group. Saini said, it was an World’s biggest financial scam in the country posing threat to the investment of nearly 39 crore LIC policy holders and nearly 45 crore State Bank of India account holders in which ruling BJP government now trying to shelter Adani group by dumping the issue in which entire money of the people deposited with banks and LIC has been alleged handed over to Adani group by the Prime Minister Narender Modi near and dear to Adani which is likely to be country’s biggest corporate fraud but people in the country will not allow such mis-happen in the country at any cost. Saini said, people in the country want to know why Modi government in the country is silent over Hiddenbury Research Report, perhaps under a conspiracy. He said, according to the report 42% over valued shares of Adani group are owned by the family members, hidden companies and black money holders invested in the company shares. Another local Congress leader Jasbir Mallour a former MLA while addressing demanded investigation in the case by the Chief Justice of Supreme Court of India, ED, CBI, Sebi or any reputed private investigation agency immediately otherwise it will be too late. He said, Adani group has availed loans from the banks and LIC of value worth about Rs 80,000 crore which belong to people’s hard earned money. According to information, Congress MPs protesting near the Gandhi statue in Parliament House said that government was not allowing the issue to be discussed in Parliament.
