Amy Taylor Alpers  Conduct Pilates Training in Bengaluru

Bengaluru :  Amy Taylor Alpers, a second-generation Pilates teacher and co-founder of The Pilates Centre in Colorado, on her visit to India  share her expertise at an Introductory Classical Pilates Workshop in Bengaluru.  First time that a teacher of her caliber  visit India to promote the practice of Pilates. 

Amy Alpers trained under Romana Kryzanowska, Joseph Pilates protégé and inheritor of his studio in New York City. Globally recognized as one of the torchbearers of Classical Pilates, she has maintained the integrity of the original movement practice and inspires others to become teachers.

According to a recent fitness report, Pilates has seen a 38% increase in popularity as people look to incorporate it into their fitness routines. Pilates provides numerous benefits for the mind and body, making it an ideal form of exercise for the busy and stressful lifestyles of today.

Amy trained directly under Romana Kryzanowska, a disciple of Joseph Pilates, who founded the discipline. With over 35 years of teaching and mentoring students worldwide, Amy is highly regarded in the Pilates community. In addition to the introductory workshop at the Courtyard Community Centre in bengaluru, she  conducted  other Pilates-based well-being workshops and lessons at Pilates for Wellbeing here.

This event coincides with the launch of India’s first Classical Pilates Teacher Training Academy by Kavita Prakash, the only licensed teacher trainer for the Pilates Centre in Asia.

During the  fitness demonstration,  Amy explained  that  the  workshop  covered the benefits of Pilates for the mind and body, including its potential to combat depression and stress. She showed  few  important  video clips how  It is suitable for people of all ages, from 10 to 100, including new age working professionals.
