P.K. Aggarwal Director General Police Haryana talking to media persons at Chandigarh said that under ‘Operation Muskan’ presently going on in Haryana state, police has traced out as many as 625 missing persons which include 321 lost children and 304 adults in a period of only 15 days and handed over all missing persons including children to their families thus bringing ‘muskan’ on the faces of families.
Information reveals that as many as 10 girls were also rescued by the Anti-Human Cell in the state, whereas 284 children were rescued by district police authorities in the state and 40 children were rescued by the State Crime Bureau. Information also reveals that among missing persons rescued by the police included 183 children from beggars, 263 persons including minors forced to work as bound labourers in ‘dhabas’, shops, ‘Rehris’ and working in factories. Information also reveals that as many as over a dozen minors below age 16 on information were rescued by the Human Trafficking Department found working as child labourers in a factory near Faridabad and a case was registered against the owner of the factory.
DGP Haryana told that several police teams were made in the state those visited as many as 141 children homes in the state in past 15 days and collected datas as well as photographs of children residing in these homes, besides also visited homes for the stay of lost children as well as homes for the stay of missing adults. He said that the data of missing persons including children residing in these homes along with their photographs were uploaded on the special portal by the police was released including all police stations in the state. According to DGP Haryana, State Crimes Bureau has played an important role in searching out missings.
