BSF seized drug  smuggled from Pakistan to India

Amritsar, May 8 – Border Security Force (BSF) have seized drug consignment  which was smuggled to India through drone from Pakistan.

BSF official in a statement here today said that on 7th May  at about 10:00 PM, BSF troops deployed in depth area, on the outskirts of Indo-Pak border Village – Daoke, in Amritsar, heard the sound of dropping something in the nearby farming fields.

Thereafter, the whole area was immediately cordoned off and all concerned sister agencies were informed, said official , adding that during search of the depth area, BSF troops recovered one bag from the farming field.

Official further said that on opening, four packets of heroin (Gross weight – 1.590 Kgs) were recovered from the bag. An iron ring and a small torch were also found attached with the bag. Further search of the area is in progress.
