New Delhi– Congress leader Rahul Gandhi today attacked the BJP government and Prime Minister Modi for misusing the government agencies in India. He blamed PM Modi for keeping mum on corruption in India, and accused him of knowing more than GOD.
Speaking at an event in Santa Clara, California, Rahul Gandhi said there are people in India who believe that PM Modi is supreme, he knows more than God. These people can explain to everyone, History to Historians, Science to Scientists and warfare to Armyman. They think they know even more than God. “ And of course Our Prime Minister is one such specimen’” If Modi ji sits with God , he will tell him how he should run this Universe and even God will get confused about What I have Created” leaving all his American Supporters in a laughter mode. He was interacting with activists, academicians and Civil society people at the University of California on May 31.
Mr Gandhi is on a 10 day visit to the United States. He is set to cover three cities San Francisco, Washington DC and New York during this tour. He would visit with Indian Diaspora and American lawmakers. “ the purpose of this visit is to connect, interact institutions, Media, and Indian Diaspora that is growing in the United States and abroad to promote democracy with a vision of freedom, peace, justice, sustainability and opportunities.” He will also address the National press Club, focusing on topics of future of Indian democracy, Freedom of speech, and Economic Growth, Indian Overseas Congress Chairperson Sam Pitroda said in a statement.
Talking about the Bharat Jodo Yatra, senior Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said we started this yatra to connect with the people as all the political instruments were being controlled by the RSS and BJP. And that’s why we started from Kanyakumari, southern most part of India to Srinagar in Kashmir. It was necessary to unite the people with spirit of love and affection. He reminded how spiritual leaders Guru Nanak Devji, Narayana Guru Ji and others united the country. He said Government made every effort to stop this yatra but its popularity kept on growing.
He also talked about language politics in India that took centre stage some months back. He said Congress won’t allow anyone to threaten regional language.” If anyone attacks any regional language, that is an attack on India” and we will not tolerate it. Giving his views on Caste Census , Senior Congress leader said when Congress will come to power we will have a caste census, and will assure that the treatment done with Dalits, tribals and minorities be fair”, Rahul added.
On Questions of Women reservation Bill, Rahul said we are committed to that, we wanted to pass it in the last government but our allies were not happy and did not support us but this time we will pass it for sure. On questions on discrimination in Modi’s regime, Rahul said “ the best way to explain this is by “ Nafrat ke bazaar mein Mohabbat ki dukan”…that is the best way I can say..it is felt more strongly by Muslims community because it is done more directly to them but in fact it is done to all miniorities. He appealed everyone to support the idea that will defeat the BJP.
