In view of fast increasing cases of cyber crimes in Haryana, state police has launched a massive drive in the state and has already blocked 63485 mobile sim cards so far in recent past sometime which were found registered on fake names and other documents. Not only this state police Haryana has also registered 48 FIRs against mobile phone deaelrs in the state allegedly registered fake sim cards without verification and search is going on for another mobile phone dealers involved in fake conspiracies now spreading  cyber crimes not only in the state but also all over the country. According to information there are large number of fake casll centres having fake Sim cards in the state cheating people.
Large number of crooks have been found running scams in which they impersonate customer care executives of various banks and e-commerce sites, and dupe customers. Information also reveals, few of them illegally procured Indian and international Sim cards in bulk, activated them, and then sold them to cyber criminals operating in the state as well as other parts of the country. Sometime ago, Delhi Police Cyber Crime Branch had busted a fake call centre syndicate in Jharkhand state with the arrest of six persons which led to the recovery of 22,000 sim cards used in the crime. Similarly, Haryana police during raids sometime ago busted nearly a hundred fake call centres functioning in rural places in Mewat area cheating people all over in the country in Nuh district in Haryana state. According to Delhi cyber cell nearly 16,000 sims seized in Jharkhand were of three leading cellular service providers of India, besides International Sim cards seized from countries like Bangladesh, Nepal, Bhutan and Sri Lanka were also there. It was observed that apart from the 21,761 used and unused Sim cards recovered in Jharkhand at least 12,500 pre-activated Sim cards were already provided to cyber criminals even posting these mobile numbers on Google as the customer care helplines of banks of repute and several e-commerce sites, said a DCP at Delhi. that action was taken on the complaint of a Dubai based resident who was duped of Rs10 lakh while he was in Delhi. when he wanted to get his daughter’s bank passbook updated and searched for the bank’s customer care number on the internet. The complainant said, he dialled a number found on the internet, where one of the crooks impersonated a customer care executive cheated him making unauthorised transactions in the account. According to Haryana police information, 63486 mobile Sim cards were detecdted fake in past four months by state Telecom department , checked datas of large number of subscribers  on artificial intelligence based facial recognition tools and found large number of mobile phone datas in the state pushed in the list of those agents involved in irregularities now likely to face action against them.  since the names and addresses were found fake and such Sim cards were blocked.  and dealers blacklisted.
According to state cyber crime departmentinformation, maximum number of mobile phone Sims used in cyber crimes  in Haryana state were recorded as 12822 found registered in Andhra Pradesh,  4365 Sim cards registered in West bengal, 2322 registered in Assam, , 4328 registered in Delhi and 2490 Sims registered in Haryana.
