NIA attaches immovable property of Zahoor Watali in Jammu and Kashmir 

The immovable properties of Zahoor Watali who was arrested by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) in 2017 in connection with a terror funding case were attached by the agency. 

The properties were registered in Watali’s name in Handwara tehsil of Kupwara district in north Kashmir.

The attached properties include land measure 13.3 Marlas, 8.6 Marlas, and 10.3 Marlas. Notices of attachment were erected near the land to inform the public about the action taken.

Prior to this, the NIA had already attached Watali’s house in the Baghat area of Srinagar last month. The attachment of the properties was carried out in accordance with the orders of the special NIA court located at Pataila House Courts in New Delhi.

Watali’s arrest and subsequent attachment of his properties are part of the ongoing investigation into the terror funding case. The NIA has been conducting an extensive probe to uncover and prosecute individuals involved in funding terrorist activities in the region.
