Amritsar, June 12 : In a daylight incident unidentified accused looted Rs. 10 lac from the employee of a cash management company here today.

Confirming the incident here today, Police said that some unidentified accused looted Rs. 10 lac from Sharanjeet Singh an employee of private Cash Management Company when he was moving back to his office after collecting cash from different locations of the city.

Police said that as per the statement given by the victim Sharnjeet Singh who stated that unidentified youth who intercepted him in the middle of the Road near the Guru Nanak Dev University area, sprinkled red chilies in his eyes and attacked with sharp edged weapon on his arm and snatched a bag containing Rs. 10 lac cash and fled away.

Police said that an investigation was underway, CCTV cameras of nearby areas were being checked to find out the clue. Presently the victim was hospitalized for his eye treatment as red chilly was thrown in his eyes by the looters.
